Jennipher is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with six years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families and as well as branching out to include experience in the last year with individual adults and couples. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her graduate master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling both from Montana State University-Billings. She has training in cognitive behavioral therapy, Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Play therapy, expressive arts therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, Walk and Talk therapy, Positive Psychology, and family systems therapy.
Jennipher worked at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch for five years as a lodge counselor, a year as a therapy intern, and two years as a primary therapist working with at risk children, adolescents, and their families. She worked the next three and a half years for Aware Inc.’s Comprehensive Schools and Community Treatment with elementary aged children and their families. The preventative program was designed to help at-risk youth remain in their homes, schools, and communities. Jennipher has facilitated social skills, anger management, communication skills, CBT, and experiential group therapy for youth ages 5 to 17. Jennipher has most experience working with children, adolescents’ parents, and families. In the last year she has expanded her career experience to include helping adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, Adjustment disorders, marriage counseling, and grief counseling. Jennipher’s philosophy is that everyone, no matter the circumstances or history, is capable of meaningful personal growth and positive change through the fostering of self-awareness, the right educational tools, and emotional support.
