Kristin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a degree from Montana State University-Billings in Rehabilitation Mental Health Counseling with a focus on family counseling. Kristin conducted research in Reactive Attachment Disorder and has experience working with adoptive parents and their kids. Kristin completed her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Kristin has worked with youth and families in the Billings area for almost five years. She participated in a year long internship at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, has worked for therapeutic group homes for severely emotionally disturbed youth ranging in age from five to 18, and most recently worked for Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch in the residential program as a primary therapist serving youth and their families.
She has experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, play and expressive arts therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and family systems therapy. Kristin has facilitated social skills, anger management, cognitive behavioral therapy, and experiential groups for young people. She focuses on family systems and empowering families. Kristin treats clients of all ages with many diagnoses. She is interested in play therapy and experiential therapy and is looking for opportunities to learn more about these modalities.
