Neil Kidwell, LCSW

Neil is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over eighteen years
of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and
families in Billings and surrounding communities. He attended Rocky
Mountain College, where he earned a Bachelor
of Scienc
e degree in psychology with a minor in English writing in 1997. He
received his Master's in Social Work in 2005 through the Walla Walla
College program in Billings. Throughout Neil's professional life, he
has worked with clients in many capacities and settings, including
family support work, group homes, independent living, school-based
mental health and clinical supervision. He has had an outpatient
practice since 2009, which has a been a rewarding experience for
him.
Neil works primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy model,
incorporating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy,
Attachment Theory and strength-based approaches. Providing
individual, family and group therapies to his clients, Neil
emphasizes the importance of building strong therapuetic
relationships with his clients and working with families, schools
and community treatment teams.
